Samsung is undoubtedly taking its time testing One UI 7 for older Galaxy models. The Android 15-based One UI 7 is yet to debut in the stable channel if we don’t count the Galaxy S25 series. But the test and beta builds have been spotted multiple times on Samsung’s server for different devices.
A few days ago, the stable One UI 7 RTL build was discovered for the Galaxy S24 FE. Now the One UI 7 RTL build has also been spotted for the entry-level Galaxy A15. RTL is Remote Test Lab, which allows users to virtually test devices.
Many users have spotted the One UI 7 running Galaxy A15 in the Remote Test Lab. But don’t get excited, this is on a virtual server and not rolling out to physical devices. Samsung will likely take several weeks before releasing the update to the public.
According to one of the recent reports, the Galaxy S24 FE is expected to receive the stable One UI 7 update on March 31st. If the report is accurate, the Galaxy A15 is likely to receive the stable update after the Galaxy S24 FE. The chances of the Galaxy A15 receiving the update before the Galaxy S24 FE are quite slim.
The Galaxy A15 was launched in late 2023 with the Android 14 based One UI 6.0. So One UI 7 will be the first major update for the entry-level device. If you have a Galaxy A15, you can expect to get some new features with One UI 7 such as split mode for quick settings and notifications, NowBar, more customization options for home screen and lock screen, and some other features. However, you may miss out on AI features.
