After a month of testing, Apple is ready to release watchOS 26.5 to the public. The company has rolled out the release candidate build of watchOS 26.5 for testing purposes. Apple is pushing the watchOS 26.5 release candidate build with 23T570 version number. The incremental beta for developers comes in a download size of 432MB. If you’re unaware, a release candidate build is essentially the final version, made available to developers before the public release. First things first, you need to update your iPhone to iOS 26.5 release candidate. Once done, you can follow these steps to install the watchOS 26.5 release candidate on your watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 26.5 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the release candidate of watchOS 26.5.
  5. That’s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.

Now the watchOS 26.5 release candidate update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch.
