After starting the week with the re-release of iOS 17.6.1, Apple today released iOS 18 beta 7. The tech giant has been rolling out iOS 18 beta updates every week.

As we are only a few weeks away from the iOS 18 public release, this or the next beta could be the last beta of iOS 18, and in the Apple event week we can expect a release candidate build. Mark Gurman in a tweet hinted this is the final beta. The Apple event will take place on September 9, and that is when we will see the release candidate build and in the following week public build will be released.

The iOS 18 Beta 7 update comes with build number 22A5346a and weighs around 1.1GB which may vary depending on your device and last update. In a few hours, the next public beta should also arrive which will be same as the iOS 18 Beta 7.

iOS 18 beta 7 update

As this could be the last beta, donโ€™t expect much except for the fixes and improvements. I am looking into the new beta update, and once I find all the changes, I’ll add them to a list below.

  • A new Silent Mode option for control center
  • New splash screen for various apps
  • Major bug fixes and improvements

Today, Apple also released other updates that include iPadOS 18 Beta 7, watchOS 11 Beta 7, macOS 15 Beta 7, tvOS 18 Beta 7, HomePodOS 18 Beta 7, and visionOS 2 Beta 7.

The build number for the seventh beta ends with โ€˜aโ€™, which suggests that this could be the last beta. However, this is not certain, as Apple could release another beta next week.

As for the iOS 18 Beta 7 availability, it is available to developers. So if you have selected developer beta on the software update page, you will receive the beta update as OTA. Once you get the update, hit Download and Install.
