The third beta of iOS 18.5 is now out to developers and will soon be released to public beta testers. This new beta brings us even closer to the public build, but there are still a few weeks to go. In between, we can expect two or three more beta builds.
Apple also released iPadOS 18.5 Beta 3, watchOS 11.5 Beta 3, macOS Sequoia 15.5 Beta 3, macOS Sonoma 14.7.6 RC2, macOS Ventura 13.7.6 RC2, tvOS 18.5 Beta 3, and visionOS 2.5 Beta 3, alongside iOS 18.5 Beta 3.
iOS 18.5 Beta 3 comes with build number 22F5053j (which goes backwards from f to j). Depending on the current update installed on your iPhone, it could weigh a few hundred MB or a few GB. So, make sure to download the update using Wi-Fi.
As you might already know, Apple will soon start testing its next big OS update, iOS 19. So, don’t expect major changes in any remaining iOS 18 builds, as they might be reserving new features for the next major OS update. Still, there are some small changes and improvements that you should know about.

The iOS 18.5 Beta 3 is currently available to developers. Public beta testers are still waiting for the second beta. They can expect either Beta 2 or Beta 3 in the next few days.
If you’re on a public build, you won’t receive the update, and you don’t need it if everything is working as expected on the public build.
If you’ve opted in for the beta build of iOS 18.5, you can download and install it by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
