Early this month, Vivo started rolling out the OriginOS 6.0-based Android 16 update for Vivo V30. Now, the company has extended the availability to the Pro variant. If you are a Vivo V30 Pro user, you can update your phone to the latest OriginOS 6.0 skin and try out the whole bunch of new features.
Vivo, as always, didn’t confirm the rollout on its social channels and community forums. Instead, some Vivo V30 Pro users shared this news on X (formerly Twitter) and other channels. As per the details, the update is seeding with PD2332F_EX_A_16.2.12.2.W30 software version.
The smartphone was launched with Android 14 in 2024, meaning this is the second major upgrade. Being a major OS upgrade, it weighs a whopping 4.8GB in download size. Please ensure you have at least 6-8GB of free space available on your device to install the OriginOS 6.0 update. Additionally, make sure that your phone is running on the latest software version. You can request the update through the Trial program.
Moving to the features, OriginOS 6 introduces a fresh new Origin design that’s entirely different from Funtouch. It features smooth animations, AI lightning, a redesigned media player, enhanced lock screen customization, and many other features. Since the update is based on Android 16, it also includes stock Android features. The update changelog is the same as mentioned on this page.
Vivo V30 Pro users can apply for the trial version and download the update by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System updates > version Trial > Trial version > download and install.
Note: Make sure to backup your important data. No it will not reset your device, but still taking a backup before update is recommended.
