Alongside iOS 26, Apple is also testing iOS 18.6, which is expected to be released to the public soon. The second beta of iOS 18.6 is now available for eligible devices. While the interesting things are now reserved for iOS 26, iOS 18 will still receive some improvements.
Today, Apple released iPadOS 18.6 Beta 2, watchOS 11.6 Beta 2, tvOS 18.6 Beta 2, macOS Sequoia 15.6 Beta 2, macOS Sonoma 14.7.7 RC2, macOS Ventura 13.7.7 RC2, and visionOS 2.6 Beta 2, alongside the iOS 18.6 Beta 2.
The iOS 18.6 Beta 2 comes with build number 22G5064d. Based on the build number, it appears that there will be a few more beta builds before its public release.
Since iOS 18 has already passed its interesting phase, don’t expect big changes. Instead you can expect minor changes, bug fixes, and security enhancements.
The iOS 18.6 Beta 2 is available to those who haven’t yet upgraded to iOS 26 beta and have selected iOS 18 beta in Settings > General > Software Update. If you’re already on iOS 26 beta, you’re using a higher version, so it won’t appear in the software update page on your iPhone.
If the second iOS 18.6 Beta is available on your device, make sure to take backup of your data before installing it.
