Samsung’s next-generation foldable smartphones have begun surfacing online, thanks to several leaks. Thanks to fresh new leaks from the guys over at Digital Citizen, we now have details of the three foldable smartphones that are coming out from Samsung this year.
The leaks in question showcase the storage options, colors, and model numbers of the upcoming Galaxy foldable smartphones. And yes, there is a new Z Fold 8 being launched with the Ultra tag. It’s nice to see the Z Fold join the S series with its Ultra model, indicating that there is finally a top-of-the-line Z Fold Ultra for those who want the best in their foldable smartphone.
Galaxy Z Flip 8: Colors, Storage Options, and Model Numbers
The next generation of the Galaxy Flip from Samsung will be available in two storage options: 256GB and 512GB. The Flip still misses out on the 1TB storage option. The Z Flip has always been a fashion accessory and will come in four color options. The color options are Cream, Graphite, Mint, and Pink. The Z Flip 8 will come with the model number SM-F776B.
The Cream and Graphite color options are standard colors that have been seen for almost every generation of the Z Flip. The Mint and Pink color options are perfect for those who love fun colors for their smartphones.
Galaxy Z Fold 8: Colors, Storage Options, and Model Numbers
The bigger and more practical foldable from Samsung- the Z Fold 8 – will be available in three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Looking at how the storage and RAM prices are, Samsung seems to be waiting for the right time to launch the Z Fold with 2TB. Maybe we might see one in the near future. Just like the Z Flip 8, the Z Fold 8 will also come in four color options. You can choose from Cream, Graphite, Pistachio, and Lavender.
While the first two color options are standard, Samsung seems to be going with different shades of green and pink for this year’s lineup of foldable smartphones. The model number for the Z Fold 8 is SM-F971B.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: Colors, Storage Options, and Model Numbers
Fresh off the factory to the Z Fold lineup is the new Z Fold 8 Ultra. While it may look like Samsung is matching it with the S series Ultra, it might also be a dig at Apple’s upcoming foldable, the iPhone Ultra. Looks like the Z Fold 8 Ultra will come with several new features and hardware improvements over the regular Z Fold 8.
Just like its foldable siblings, the Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8, the Ultra will also come in four color options, two of which are Cream and Graphite. And just like the Z Fold 8, the other two color options are again a shade of green and pink. For the Z Fold 8 Ultra, they will be called Green Shadow and Violet Shadow. Storage options for the Z Fold 8 Ultra will be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The model number of the new Z Fold 8 Ultra is SM-976B.
Expected Hardware and Software
All three foldables will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, similar to the S26 series launched early this year. As usual, these SoCs will be specially made for Galaxy variants, as these are slightly overclocked to work with the Galaxy S and Z series. We can expect Samsung to launch these new devices with more RAM options, improved cameras, and displays.
The Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8, and the Z Fold 8 ultra will be launched during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for the 2nd of July. These devices will come with One UI 9 based on Android 17 out of the box. Going with Samsung’s software update policy, all three devices will come with 7 years of major Android software and security updates.
Prices and general availability for these devices will be revealed during the Galaxy Unpacked event taking place in London this July.
