[Update: Galaxy A51 Unlocked too] Samsung Galaxy A21s starts receiving Android 11 Update, Galaxy A51 gets One UI 3.1

Samsung has started pushing the Android 11 update for the affordable Galaxy A-series phones and the first in the line is the Galaxy A21s. The device was announced back in May 2020 with Android 10 OS, now starts receiving its first major OS update in the form of One UI 3.1 based Android 11. For the past few days, the Galaxy A51 is running on the One UI 3.0 based Android 11 update. Now it receives company’s newest One UI 3.1 skin along with some new features. The new build on Galaxy A51 is seeding with A515FXXU4EUC8 version number in Russia. While the update for Galaxy A21s OTA first appear in South Korea with A217NKSU5CUC7 build number. We can expect the wider roll out in the coming days.

The latest patch on the Galaxy A51 bags April 2021 monthly security patch, while the Galaxy A21s One UI 3.1 update carries March 2021 security patch. Other than that, the update comes with a bunch of new features. It has features like Private Share, Nearby Share, Samsung Free, Eye Comfort Shield, Remove location data, Auto Switch feature, along with a few other features. You can also use the basic features of Android 11.

Samsung Galaxy A21s & Galaxy A51 One UI 3.1 Update

The OTA is rolling out in different phases, as for now, the update is available in selected regions. If you’re using the Galaxy A21s and Galaxy A51, then you’ll be glad to know that your device will soon receive the One UI 3.1 based Android 11 update. You will get the update over-the-air, in case you have missed the OTA notification, then you can check the software updates manually.

You can head over to the Settings > Software Updates for manually checking the latest updates. It will show the available update so tap on download and install to get it on your phone.

If you’re in a haste, then you can update your device manually using Firmware. You can download Galaxy Fold Firmware from Frija tool, SamFirm tool, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.


Update 1: One UI 3.1 for Samsung Galaxy A51 5G

Samsung now starts rolling out the One UI 3.1 to the Galaxy A51 5G. The latest patch is available for Galaxy A51 5G in its mainland South Korea. The update carries A516NKSU3CUC8 build number along with a number of new features and improvements.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Unlocked now receives the One UI 3.1 based Android 11 Update in the USA. The latest software is seeding with A515U1UEU5CUF1 build number and weighs more than usual OTA patches. It also comes with the June 2021 monthly security patch and a slew of new features and improvements.
