Google and Samsung are not the best smartphone brands when it comes to keeping secrets. Pixel 9 series is slated to be unveiled on August 13 at the Made by Google event. We are still a month away from the official unveiling, but thanks to regular leaks we know many things about the device.
Google is fed up with all these leaks and has finally decided to start teasing the upcoming Pixel 9 series.
Google has dropped teaser videos of the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, revealing the design and AI capabilities of these smartphones. We can expect more videos in the coming days teasing the Pixel Watch 3 or remaining phones in the lineup.
Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold Official Teasers
Last month, Google announced its August 13 event but didn’t shed light on products launching at the event. According to rumors, the company will launch four smartphones, a new smartwatch, and possibly new earbuds as well. These are the expected products: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 3 (41mm and 45mm), and Pixel Buds2 Pro.
Recently, Google has teased two phones from the lineup. On Thursday, Google shared a teaser of the Pixel 9 Pro in Porcelain color with an “Oh hi, AI” tagline. In these promo videos, Google is highlighting the Gemini AI capabilities of these smartphones.
The next day, Google India and MadebyGoogle shared teasers of its second-generation foldable smartphone, which is going to be called the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Yes, Google itself confirmed the name of its second book-style foldable smartphone. Apart from the new name, the tech giant officially revealed the design of both the Pixel 9 Pro and the Fold for the first time.
Pixel 9 Pro Fold teasers are available in Obsidian and Porcelain colors. Google India also confirmed that the fold is coming to India this time and will be unveiled on August 14.
Pixel 9 Pro XL Rumored Specifications:
The Pixel 9 series will be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset. It is also expected that Google may offer complimentary access to Gemini Advance with the Pixel 9 series devices for one year. Google AI is also set to get an upgrade with some new features.
As per a recently leaked hands-on image, the Pixel 9 Pro will come with 16GB RAM. In terms of storage, the Pro XL will come in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. The phone will come with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. You can expect these specs on the Pixel 9 Pro XL as well.
