OnePlus recruiting OxygenOS 13 Closed Beta testers for OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro

After the OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, and 9RT, two other OnePlus phones are getting Android 13 based OxygenOS 13 Closed Beta. The closed beta was released a day ago for the OnePlus 9RT whereas the closed beta for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro went live two weeks ago. Also, the OxygenOS 13 Open Beta is already available for the OnePlus 10 pro which is the current flagship phone from OnePlus.

OnePlus seems quick this time with updates compared to last year. The OnePlus 8 Series was launched in 2020 and the Android 13 will be the last major update for the series according to three major update policy for flagship phones.

OxygenOS 13 closed beta for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro is available for limited users only. In numbers, it is 200 seats for both the devices combined. So only the first 200 users will be able to join the Android 13 Closed Beta Program. OxygenOS 13 closed beta will last for about two to three months. And the open beta is expected once the OnePlus 10 Pro gets the stable OxygenOS 13 update.

Talking about changes and new features, OxygenOS 13 comes with aquamorphic design which is the main change in terms of UI. Other features include better HyperBoost for gaming, better privacy, and more. You can see all the new features on this page.

To apply for Android 13 Closed Beta, visit the beta application link and fill in all the required details. Once you submit the application, OnePlus will verify it and if you have made it to 200 seats then you will get the update over the air. You can check for updates by going to Settings > About device > Up to date or Available Updates.
