Like many other smartphone makers, Vivo is steadily expanding its Android 16 rollout to more affordable and older devices. Following the recent update for the Vivo V30, the company is now rolling out the OriginOS 6 update to the Vivo Y400 Pro.
If you own the Vivo Y400 Pro, you will receive the anticipated software upgrade ending with PD2451BF_EX_A_16.1.10.0.W30 firmware version. The update is available to some users, with a broader rollout to commence soon. The update weighs in at a hefty 3.86GB, so a stable Wi-Fi connection is recommended before downloading.
As always, the rollout is first live for testers, so if you own the Y400 Pro and want to try out the OriginOS 6.0 features before anyone else, you can enroll in Vivo’s trial program. The update brings a plethora of new features, improvements, and fixes. It will also bump up the monthly security patch to a newer version.

Moving to the features, OriginOS 6 introduces a fresh new Origin design that’s entirely different from Funtouch. It features smooth animations, AI lightning, a redesigned media player, enhanced lock screen customization, and many other features. Since the update is based on Android 16, it also includes stock Android features. The update changelog is the same as mentioned on this page.
Vivo Y400 Pro users can apply for the trial version and download the update by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System updates > version Trial > Trial version > download and install.
Note: Make sure to backup your important data. No it will not reset your device, but still taking a backup before update is recommended.
