Just a few days back, Samsung kicked-off the One UI 7 public rollout for Galaxy S24, which has been halted yesterday amidst of a serious bug. The company has been also testing the update on Galaxy S23 series and other phones.
Now if you own the Galaxy S23 line of device and residing in Canada, we’ve some good piece of news for you. Samsung is all set to release the stable One UI 7 update for carrier-locked Galaxy S23 lineup starting April 22.

This news has been officially confirmed by the Canadian telecom carrier Telus. The following phones are scheduled to receive the update on April 22:
- Galaxy S23 – April 22
- Galaxy S23 Plus – April 22
- Galaxy S23 Ultra – April 22
We can expect the similar rollout timeline for the US market, while the update is anticipated to reach the Galaxy S23 lineup in Korea later this week.
One UI 7 introduces one of the biggest changes in the One UI history. Depending on your device model, you can expect UI changes, new quick settings and notifications layout, NowBar, new AI features, and more.
The update is already available for beta testers, and the overall experience has been quite positive so far.
If you own a Galaxy S23 series smartphone and waiting for the public rollout, you can prepare your device for the update by backing up your data. The One UI 7 update will be rolled out gradually through OTA updates from the release date.
