Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus get Circle to Search

Circle to Search, a popular AI feature first introduced on the Galaxy S24 series is now available on many Android phones. Fortunately, Nothing has also introduced Circle to Search feature to select devices with the latest Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.0 update.

Circle to Search is available for Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus. The feature is available through stable Nothing OS 3.0 for Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (2a). While the stable update for Phone (2a) Plus has not been released, so the feature is currently available through the beta build.

To get the Circle on Search on your Nothing phone, make sure your device is updated to the latest Nothing OS 3.0 build. For the Phone (2a) Plus, the feature is available in the latest beta. If you prefer to avoid beta update, you can wait for the stable update, which should release in the coming weeks. Here are the build numbers in which Circle to Search is available.

  • Phone (2): Pong-V3.0-241207-0124
  • Phone (2a): Pacman-V3.0-241210-2057
  • Phone (2a) Plus: PacmanPro-V3.0-241126-1448 (Beta build)

You can view the build information in Settings, search for ‘build number’ in Settings. If Circle to Search is not available after updating to the mentioned build or even newer, you can try rebooting your phone.

The Circle to Search feature may come to more Nothing Phones with the Nothing OS 3.0 update, but so far only these three phones are getting this feature. The company has officially said that it will be available in more phones, but has not confirmed the models.

Circle to Search let you see information about anything visible on your device without needing to switch apps. To use this feature, long press navigation bar or home button, then draw a circle around the object.

The Google app will appear over your current app with results related to the object. You can follow on with more queries in search, related to the object. Once you’re done, simply tap on your main app and the Google window will minimize automatically.
