HMD Global continues its work for releasing Android 11 updates for its smartphones. The latest member joining the Android 11 club is the Nokia 5.3. The smartphone was announced in last April with Android 10 OS. Nokia took too much time to give major upgrade to the Nokia 5.3, but better late than never, right? The company has knocked out the new software with V2.210 version number. As this is a first major OS upgrade for the Nokia 5.3, it weighs higher than the monthly security patches. So, connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi network for faster downloading. The software also brings a newer June 2021 monthly security patch. As always, the Nokia has shared the roll out information on its community forum.
The company also mentions that in the first phase the update will hit select countries, including, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, and a few more. Nokia 5.3 users can upgrade their smartphone to Android 11 OS. At the moment the update is in a rolling phase, some users have already received the update, but if not then you will get the update probably by 6th August. Sometimes users don’t receive Android updates via notification. So, in that case, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > Software Update.
Before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a backup of important data and charge your device to at least 50%.
