Motorola finally heard the feedback of users and started rolling out the new Android 13 upgrade for its high-end phone – Edge 30 Pro. It’s been nine months since Google originally released Android 13 to the public, but Moto users are still waiting for the update. In December, Motorola shared a list of phones eligible for Android 13 with a rollout timeline which is “early 2023”. However, we are in the fourth month of the year and now there’s news of the first Motorola phone receiving the much-awaited Android 13 upgrade.
Motorola is seeding the new firmware on the Edge 30 Pro with the T1SH33.35-23-20 version number and weighs around 1.60GB size. The information has been shared by a Brazilian YouTuber, Linuxbrs and I also checked other social media channels including Reddit, and the update is in a rolling phase. For the time being, it is available to users in Brazil and Mexico, a broader rollout should follow soon.
Moto Edge 30 Pro Android 13 update is rolling with a flurry of new features such as a revamped personalization panel with the support of more color palettes, updated notifications panel, revamped Music Player, Bluetooth LE audio support, per-app language feature, app notifications permission, and many more.
If you own the Moto Edge 30 Pro and waiting for the new Android 13 upgrade, then you can navigate to Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and check for the new updates. As it is currently in a rolling phase, you can wait for a few days for the official OTA notification. It is a big upgrade you can connect your phone to WiFi to cut down the download time.
If the update is not available, you can wait for a few days or update it manually. Before updating your phone make sure to charge it to at least 50% and also make a backup of important data.
