Summarize This Article:

Motorola is doing pretty good with the recent Edge 60 series, and the company is looking to raise the bar even higher with the upcoming Edge 70 launch. The company is expected to launch the smartphone in China as the Moto X70 Air.

Motorola is set to join the club of slimmer phones with its impossibly thin Edge 70 smartphone. With devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, Tecno Spark Slim and Pova Slim, and Apple iPhone Air already in the mix, Motorola isn’t about to sit this trend out. Let’s explore more about the upcoming Moto Edge 70.

Motorola Edge 70 Launch Date

Motorola has started teasing the key features of the Edge 70 on its promo site, which is already live in parts of Europe, including the UK, Italy, Germany, and Poland. The reveal is set for November 5; it could launch this month in China as the Moto X70 Air.

The forthcoming smartphone will feature a slimmer profile, and interestingly, both the camera rings and the Moto AI key will sport color-accented finishes. Now let’s move on to the specs and other details of the smartphone.

Motorola Edge 70 Specs

Motorola Edge 70 comes with several upgrades compared to its predecessor. We’ve already shared the renders of the smartphone. Motorola is launching the Edge 70 in three colorways: Pantone Bronze Green, Pantone Lily Pad, and Pantone Gadget Gray.

Motorola Edge 70 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and run on Android 16 operating system out of the box. Despite its slim profile, the Edge 70 will pack a 4,800mAh battery and support 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. As per the rumors, the smartphone will pack a 6.67-inch P-OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution support. It will be available in 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The Edge 70 will have a 50MP dual camera setup on the back, and the primary sensor has a 120-degree FOV, OIS, and 2.0 micron-pixel size. For selfies, the Edge 70 will feature a 50MP front camera.

While the previous generation Edge 60 series phones have rounded corners and a curved display, the upcoming Edge 70’s renders reveal flat sides and a flat screen. The front will feature a punch-hole camera and a triple rear camera module, and this time, the camera rings have a color-accented finish.

Moving to the sides, the first thing you will notice is the slimmer profile of the smartphone, then you get the power button and volume rockers on the right side, while the Moto AI key sits on the left side of the device with a color-accent finish. The bottom side of the device has a SIM card slot, USB Type-C port, and speaker grills; whereas, the top side features the Dolby Atmos branding and antenna.

Motorola Edge 70 Price

As for pricing, the Edge 70 is expected to launch at a similar price point to the Edge 60. However, some early listings hint at a price increase, with the 12GB RAM variant potentially reaching around EUR 700.
