The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go will be available in the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand from October 13. Whereas, it will be available in India from March 13th, 2021. Microsoft Surface Laptop Go houses the Intel Core i5-1035G1 (10th-gen) processor. The lower-end variant of the Surface Laptop Go packs 64GB eMMC storage. While the other two variants are available in 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB SSD storage. Apparently, the Microsoft-made Surface Laptop Go runs on the Windows 10 (Home) OS. The new Surface Laptop Go is rated for up to 13 hours of battery life in normal usage.

In terms of security, the affordable notebook gets a fingerprint reader instead of Windows Hello, used on Surface Laptop 3. The portable PC comes with one USB Type-A ports and USB Type-C port (not Thunderbolt 3), Surface Connect Port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack port. And It is available in Platinum, Sandstone, and Ice Blue color options.
