Microsoft releases Windows 11 22000.1098 update with more improvements

It is the second Tuesday of the month and Microsoft rolls out a new security update for all of its products including Windows 11. This month’s build goes live for Windows 11 21H2 version number and is tagged with the 22000.1098 version number. The latest incremental build comes out with a slew of improvements and changes, read along to know more about the Windows 11 22000.1098 update.

Microsoft is sowing the new Windows 11 build to the eligible PCs with the 22000.1098 (KB5018418) version number. As always, the security update requires a small amount of data, this month’s patch weighs around 425MB in size on ARM64-based systems and 309MB on x64-based systems. Talking about the changes, then the Windows 11 security update brings performance improvements for IE mode, widgets improvements for notification badging, ability to turn on HDR with a pen, touch keyboard remains open when switching between apps, change display mode while using multiple displays with confidence, thanks to the new improvements. The update fixes the app reinstall issue after the upgrade and also fixes the Chile daylight saving time adjustments. Apart from the afore-listed fixes, the update also brings the update security patch.

Windows 11 22000.1098 (KB5018418) Update – Improvements

This security update includes improvements that were a part of update KB5017383 (released September 20, 2022). Key changes in this release include:

  • This update contains miscellaneous security improvements to internal OS functionality. No additional issues were documented for this release.

Now if your computer is running on the Windows 11 OS, then you will receive this update soon, if you’re facing any of the above-listed issues update to this version. It is already available for many users, this build is rolling over the air, you can simply open the Settings app, then head over to the Windows Update, click on Check for Updates in case it is not showing new updates to you, once you see the update, click on download and install.
