There are features that get everyone excited and Maintenance Mode is that feature on One UI 5. It is a smart move from Samsung to bring this new mode which other smartphone brands should copy. This new feature is only available on Samsung phones with One UI 5.
What is Maintenance Mode?
This is a mode on Samsung phones that prevents data from being accessed during service periods or other maintenance related tasks. So it means no one can access the data without authorization and hence you can have a free mind when the phone is being serviced. This is a privacy and security feature that other brands may be bringing to their phones as well.
When to use Maintenance Mode?
As you might guess from its name, this is a useful feature if you’re handing your phone over to a technician for repair or other services. It is natural to have doubts even while handing over the phone to an authorized service center. So now with One UI 5, Samsung users can use Maintenance Mode when they are sharing their devices at service centers or shops.
Nowadays we keep all the data digitally which includes credit card information, car keys, passwords for various services, and many more. In such a situation, there is always a fear of data being exposed from the phone.
We should always take precautions to avoid any kind of data theft or misuse of data. Some delete their data and some can lock their data using third party apps before leaving it at the service center. But now with Maintenance Mode, we don’t have to go through all that. Of course, if you have upgraded your Samsung phone to One UI 5.
