LG Wing Android 11 update goes live in South Korea!

Two months ago, the Korean tech brand, LG, released Android 11 update for the LG G8X ThinQ and LG V50 ThinQ. Now the update goes live for the LG Wing in its mainland South Korea. LG has fulfilled its promise of providing Android 11 update for the LG Wing in the Q4 of 2021. The Android 11 update on LG Wing is rolling out with a flurry of new aesthetics and tweaks. Read along to know more about the LG Wing Android 11 update.

LG seeds the new firmware on the Wing with V20a-OCT-20-2021 version number with a size of around 2.2GB (2,209MB). At the moment, the update is rolling over-the-air in South Korea. We can expect it will be available in other regions in the coming weeks or month. It is the first major upgrade for the LG Wing and requires more data for downloading, so I suggest connecting your smartphone to Wi-Fi connection for faster downloading.

LG has officially confirmed the rollout by sharing the update information on its website. Not only this, but the update is already live to some users, here’s a screenshot shared by a reddit user (@valtervincere).

Android 11 update for LG Wing

LG Wing finally received the much-awaited Android 11 update. Although, the update is in a rolling phase and take some time to reach every smartphone. If you’re using the Wing then you’ll get the OTA notification or you can also check the system updates manually, as there are sometimes when OTA notification does not arrive. Check the new updates by heading over to the Settings app > System > Software Update, if the update is available then tap on Download and Install.

If the update is not available on your unit, then you can wait for a few days, staged rollouts take some time to reach every smartphone.

Before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, make sure to charge your smartphone to at least 30%.
