LG starts rolling out Android 11 update for LG G8X ThinQ

After shutting down the smartphone manufacturing, LG shared a list of phones which are going to receive the Android 11 and other updates. LG G8X ThinQ is also slated to get an Android 11 update. And as promised, LG has started rolling out the Android 11 update for LG G8X ThinQ. Obviously, the update is rolling out with a flurry of new features and improvements. Here you can check more info about LG G8X ThinQ Android 11 update.

LG kicks off the big update with the V30a-EEA-XX software version. It is the second major OS upgrade for the LG G8X. The smartphone was announced back in 2019 with Android Pie 9.0, later it received Android 10 OS over-the-air, now it’s time for the much-awaited Android 11 update. As obvious, this build weighs more than usual OTA patches, it measures around 2.2GB in size for download.

And the best thing is, the update is already available to a bunch of users across the globe. A Reddit user (Space_Crystal and 1uk4s) already got their hands-on with the Android 11 update on LG G8 (LM-G850EMW). The update is available in the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, also in other parts of Europe. We can expect it will be available to everyone within the next few days or weeks in worst case scenario. The update knocks up with the latest monthly security patch along with the other features.

Talking about the new features, then as per the Reddit user (just_BB_), the LG G8X Android 11 update comes with a new notification UI, overhauled quick settings panel, new power menu, new icons in the gallery app, accent colors, ability to change fingerprint animation, and more. Obviously, you can also access the basic features of Android 11 such as Chat Bubbles, change in Notification panel & volume controls, and more. Here’s the screenshot of the update shared by LG G8X users on Reddit.
