After months of leaks and rumors, a new report has finally revealed the exact launch window for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup and Apple’s rumored iPhone Ultra (foldable). As previous reports have suggested, Apple is expected to unveil only the Pro models and its first foldable iPhone this year, while the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are rumored to have been pushed back to early next year.
Until now, leaks had only indicated a September launch for the upcoming flagship iPhones without specifying a date. However, in a recent report, Mark Gurman stated that Apple is likely to hold its next iPhone event on September 8 or September 9. This means that Apple will once again follow its familiar early-September launch schedule, which has been consistent over the past several years.
Both of the mentioned dates remain possible for Apple’s next iPhone launch event. However, September 8 appears to be the more likely option, as Apple has preferred to hold major product events on a Tuesday.
That said, September 9 is also a realistic possibility. With Labor Day falling on September 7, Apple could choose to shift its event by a day to accommodate the holiday.
Mark Gurman also mentioned that if Apple launches the new iPhone models on September 9, their pre-orders may begin on September 10, and the open sale may kick off the same month.
As usual, Apple’s September event will be a big one. However, this year, the primary focus will be on the new foldable instead of the iPhone 18 Pro models. The first foldable iPhone is rumored to be called iPhone Ultra.
