How to Mirror your Samsung Phone to Chromecast and Android TV

Samsung phones come with the Smart View feature, which allows users to mirror their screens on other devices. Samsung’s Smart View is based on Miracast and doesn’t allow direct mirroring on Chromecast, Android TVs, and Google TVs. However, thanks to a hidden setting on Samsung phones, you can easily enable Google Cast to mirror your phone to a Chromecast or Android TV.

If you have a Samsung TV, LG TV, Roku TV, or other TVs that support Miracast, you may not have noticed any issues when screen mirroring your Samsung phone. However, if you have an Android TV, Chromecast, and a Samsung phone, you might have experienced the struggle of finding a way to mirror your phone. Thankfully, with this new hidden setting, things will be different once you enable Google Cast screen mirroring.

The hidden Cast setting is available on Samsung phones and tablets running on One UI 5.1 or newer. It is discovered by the AndroidPolice team. The Google Cast feature is hidden under Smart View. And enabling it is quite similar to enabling developer options on Android phones. I have tested this secret on my Galaxy S21 FE (One UI 5.1), Androidpolice confirmed it on Galaxy Z Fold 4 (One UI 5.1). So if you have a Samsung phone running One UI 5.1, you can try this process. You can also try on One UI 5 to check if it works.
