Samsung has started internal testing of the One UI 8 on its latest flagship Galaxy S25. There have been multiple hints, including the One UI 8 test firmware on Samsung servers, Geekbench, and even hints in some stock apps.
Samsung is also testing a new UI for its stock browser, which is called Samsung Internet. The browser will get a big UI overhaul, along with many new features, as part of the upcoming One UI 8 update. However, there is a trick to enable the redesigned Samsung Internet UI even before the One UI 8 release. In this guide, I’ll share a working method to enable the new Samsung Internet UI.

One UI 7 version vs One UI 8 version
As you may already be aware, Samsung has yet to release One UI 7 for most devices, so it will take time for them to release One UI 8 to eligible devices. So if you want to try the new and improved UI on Samsung’s stock browser, you can follow the steps provided below.
- First, download and install the Samsung Internet app (Beta version recommended) on your Galaxy device.
- Launch the stock browser on your device and enter internet://debug in the address bar.
- While the debug page is open, tap on the three bars for the menu and select Settings.
- Scroll down to the last and go to Debug Settings.
- Now go to Main View Settings for advanced menu options.
- Then turn on the toggle for Enable New GUI.
- Close and relaunch the browser. You will get a pop-up where you need to choose the new style.
That’s it, the One UI 8 Samsung Internet app with a redesigned user interface will now be running on your device with One UI 7. I have tested the method on One UI 7 running Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S23. It may also work on One UI 6.
First, I tried the process on the standard Samsung Internet Browser app, but it didn’t work. However, when I tried the process on the Samsung Internet Beta app, it worked on the first attempt.
Dark/Light Mode
The Menu option gets a completely new design, along with support for dark/light mode that adapts to the system. Additionally, if you’re not using the News feed theme, there will be a default wallpaper in the background, and you’ll have the option to change it.
Old Menu vs New Menu
The new UI on the Samsung Internet browser looks amazing, which may encourage more users to use the stock browser instead of third-party alternatives.
Do you like the new interface of the Samsung Internet browser? We can expect even more changes when the One UI 8 is officially released.
