In this article, you’ll find the GCam mod for the Snapdragon version of Galaxy S22 series phones. After doing some research, we found a couple of GCam compatible with S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra. Moving back to the Google Camera for SD S22 family, then below we attach three different mods – GCam 7.3 by Urnyx05, GCam 8.1 by BSG, and GCam 8.4 by Shamim. Here are the download links.

Before moving ahead, make sure to apply some additional settings for best performance. Also, make sure to delete the older version of the GCam app if any installed. Now let’s take a look at the settings.
For GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.6.apk
- Open the app, grant the required permissions, once done, swipe down and tap on the gear icon to open the Settings.
- From Settings, tap on Global settings from the custom section:
- change JPEG compression to 100%
- change interface to Pixel 5 (redfin)
- Go back to the Settings, now tap Advanced from General Settings:
- enable HDR+ control
- activate HDRnet
- scroll down a bit and turn on Video Stabilization (OIS)
- you can also activate 4K 60fps and 8K video recording if you want.
- Now reopen the GCam app and swipe down on the home screen of the app, now enable HDR+ enhanced and Google AWB.
For MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix_ruler.apk
- Open the app, grant the required permissions, once done, swipe down and tap on the gear icon to open the Settings.
- Download this config file, copy the file and paste it on this location: /Download/MGC.8.1.101_Configs/ (folder).
- Now go back to the GCam app, tap on the black space available around shutter button or you can also go to the Settings > Configs, then load the file stored in the above-mentioned folder.
- Once done, open the app, swipe down on the home screen of the app, now enable HDR+ enhanced and Google AWB.
- Go back to the Settings, now tap Advanced from General Settings:
- scroll down a bit and turn on Video Stabilization (OIS)
- you can also activate 4K 60fps and 8K video recording if you want.
For GCAM_8.4.400.42.XX_SHAMIM_V13_SAMSUNG_PACKAGE.apk
- At first, you need to download the config (XML) file as well as the Libs file to get this port working.
- After downloading both files, you need to paste it inside these folders:
- For Config file, the location is: Internal Storage > GCam > Configs8.4
- For Libs (extract the zip file before pasting in the folder), the location is: Internal Storage > GCam > Configs8.4 > libs
- Now open the app, grant the required permissions, it will crash once you give access to the required permissions.
- To avoid this, switch to Video mode before crashing.
- Now load the XML config file by tapping the blank area or from Settings, as mentioned in the above section.
- All done, reopen the app and start using it.
