iOS 13.1 – Getting Started


If you are going to update your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 then you have to follow some steps for the safe update.

A full backup of your iPhone or iPad is always recommended. It is up to you that which method you choose to save backup it can be on the cloud or it can be on the PC through iTunes.

Always charge your iPhone or iPad enough so that the device won’t turn off while updating the device. This can cause some serious problem and issues. So always keep the charge at least 50% while updating.


Another important thing you need to follow is that the update procedure requires a WiFi connection with the internet. A high-speed connection is recommended for a quick and hassle-free update.

Note: If you don’t want to download IPSW then try to search for update manually. For this Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update.

How to Install iOS 13.1/iPadOS 13.1 with IPSW

Step 1: Transfer the IPSW file to the Windows or Mac computer.

Step 2: Connect your iPhone or iPad to the computer using the original lightning cable. Do not use cheap or low-quality cables.

Step 3: Open iTunes on your computer and wait till it detects your iPhone or iPad.

Step 4: Now click on the Summary page on Itunes side panel to open device summary.

Step 5: Now you need to click update while pressing the Options button in case of Mac. And in case of Windows click Update while holding the Shift button.

Step 6: Browse and select the IPSW file on your computer. After selecting the IPSW click on Open > Update.

Step 7: Wait for the completion, it can take around 10-20 minutes. If it asks for the passcode, enter the passcode and let it finish completely.

Step 8: That’s it now your iPhone update to iOS 13.1 and iPad to iPadOS 13.1.
