Last month, Realme took the wraps off its newest number series phones. This year’s lineup includes four new phones – Realme 12, Realme 12+, Realme 12 Pro, and Realme 12 Pro+. The camera is one of the leading attractions of the premium phone in the lineup thanks to the addition of a proper telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The newly released Realme 12 series phones capture decent photos, if you want to further enhance the camera performance, you can sideload a third-party camera app on your smartphone. Here you can download Google Camera for Realme 12, Realme 12 Pro, and Pro+.

Google Camera for Realme 12 (Pro)+ [Best GCam]

Realme has replaced the 200MP main camera sensor seen on its predecessor, the Realme 11 Pro+, with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor. It uses 4-in-1 pixel binning technology to capture high-resolution photos. Additionally, the setup includes an all-new 64MP periscope telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter.

In terms of performance, the Realme 12 Pro+ captures detailed and sharp photos, the same can be said for the newly added periscope telephoto camera. The phone also captures nice low-light photos, however, if you want to boost the night photography, then you can try the Pixel Camera’s night sight and astrophotography mode.

The latest version ofย GCam mod portย โ€“ Google Camera 9.1 now works on the new Realme 12 series phones, thanks to the developers for porting the app. Google Camera supports a number of useful features including Night Sight, Astrophotography, SloMo, and more. Realme 12 series phones come bundled with a bunch of useful features including Camera2 API support. So yes you can easily install the GCam mod port on your Realme 12 series smartphone. There are a number of GCam ports available on the web, but here are the two good ports that you can use on your smartphone โ€“ GCam 9.1 by BSG and GCam 7.3 by Urnyx05.

Note: Before Installing the new Gcam Mod ported app, make sure to delete the older version (if youโ€™ve installed). This is not a stable version of Google Camera, so it may have some bugs.

If you want better results, then you can follow the below steps and add configuration file.

For GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.1_Wichaya_V3.1.1.apk

  1. At first, download this config file on your smartphone.
  2. Now create a new folder with GCam name.
  3. Open GCam folder and create one more folder with configs7 name.
  4. Now paste the config file inside the configs7 folder.
  5. Once done, Open the Google Camera app and double tap on the black blank area placed next to the shutter button.
  6. Tap on the settings shown, available in the popup & press the restore button.
  7. Go back to the app drawer and then open the app again.

Once all is done you start capturing blazing.
