OnePlus recently launched its all-new compact flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13s, in India. It is a slightly modified version of the OnePlus 13T, and it remains exclusive to the Indian and Chinese markets. It boasts top-notch specifications, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a 5850mAh battery, and more.
Google Camera for OnePlus 13s [Best GCam 9.3]
Cameras are one of the most compromised parts of the gadget. However, this doesn’t mean that it is a bad camera device in any way. It packs a nice 50-megapixel LYT-700 primary lens and a 50-megapixel JN5 2X optical zoom telephoto lens. On the front, it packs a 32-megapixel auto-focus supported selfie camera, which is even more powerful than the OnePlus 13.
The camera performs amazingly in the daylight, and its selfies are my favourite part. The selfie camera is also wide enough for a group selfie, which is like the cherry on top. However, my insider techy would always ask me if Google Camera can make the camera perform better or not.
I tried many GCam ports, and after finding out the most compatible one, I am here with the tutorial on how to install the best Gcam port for the OnePlus 13s. I have also done a short comparison between the stock camera and the Gcam port.
Download Google Camera for OnePlus 13s
Downloading the Google Camera on the OnePlus 13s is a very easy task. Also, it took me a lot of time to find the best Gcam port for the device. This is because of the fact that the device was running almost every Gcam module perfectly, thanks to its Camera2API and Snapdragon chipset. But worry not, below you will find the most compatible Gcam port for the OnePlus 13s.

This module works perfectly without any external config file. However, you can modify the settings of Gcam according to your preferences. You can do so by clicking on the “Settings” icon present on the left-hand side of the screen. Now, click on “More Settings”, and this will land on the Settings page of the application.
Quick Comparison – GCam vs Stock Cam – OnePlus 13s
Stock cameras on modern devices have become so good that it sometimes feels worthless to give extra efforts for the installation and processing of the Gcam ports. However, this is not always the case. Gcam does sometimes take the lead, and it’s not even surprising.
Starting with the main camera, both the stock camera and Gcam support the Ultra HDR image format. Meaning, if you are viewing the image on an HDR or Dolby Vision-supported screen, you can view the image in HDR. Now talking about the image quality, both the modules give very similar results.
Unlike other devices where you have a lot of colour difference between the stock camera and Gcam, in the OnePlus 13s, it is negligible. The details are similar too. However, the Gcam tends to take brighter images (when viewed in HDR). The image taken from the stock camera looks underexposed, but it is not. The greens and yellows are captured better on the stock camera.
Coming down to the closeups, the Gcam tends to take brighter images (again) and more punchier colours. The overall image looks very similar. However, the Gcam tends to have a slight warm tint in the image, and it may appeal to a lot of users.
Stock – Closeup
Regarding the zoom performance, the stock camera remains unbeatable here. The EIS works far better on the stock camera. The processing is also a lot more mature, and hence, you are served with better images. Like see the below attached sample, both are shot on 20X, and you will realise that the stock camera has processed the image a lot better. The text and the textures of the tree are visible better on the image produced by the stock camera.
Now, talking about the selfie camera, the stock camera performs better here. It has more details, the colours are managed better, and the depth looks more natural. The Gcam tends to add a warmer tint to the image, which doesn’t look very natural. The image also lacks details and looks softer.
Regarding videos and night images, the stock camera performs better here. There is no competition here.
