Choose When Your Phone Stops Fast Charging
Many people plug their devices into the power outlet before they go to sleep to charge it up for the next day. While fast charging is great and convenient, it tends to slowly reduce the health of the battery if charged over 100%. There is a routine that you can set up to let your device charge slowly during the night when it is plugged in.
Note: You can also set up battery protection when your phone reaches a certain percent while charging. For example, if you set 85% as threshold, your phone will stop charging after that point. You can follow this guide for more information on the process.
- Under the If section, search and tap on the Time Period section. Here, choose the time that you go to sleep.
- In the Then section, search for the Fast Charging action. Tap on it and choose Off.
- Again, under the Then section, search for Power Saving and set it to On.
Whenever you charge your phone at night, it will charge at a slower charging speed. But, if you don’t charge it at night, the device will automatically enable power saving mode, which lets your device conserve/save battery until you charge it up.

To make things even easier, you can also let your device stay unlocked when you are driving by choosing the Lock Screen and AOD option under the Then section. Choose Keep your Phone Unlocked. And tap on OK.
Now, whenever your device is connected to your carโs Bluetooth, the device will launch the Maps app, set your destination, play music from your preferred app, and remain unlocked. This helps you to spend little to no time using the device and spend more time driving without any distraction.
