Apple kicks off watchOS 10.3.1 update with bug fixes

Apple has just released the watchOS 10.3.1 update for Apple Watch. This is a minor incremental upgrade over the watchOS 10.3 release from last month. With today’s release, Apple brings system-wide improvements and resolves known issues. Read on to know more details.

Apple plants the new software upgrade on the eligible watches with the 21S651 build number. This minor upgrade weighs only 82MB download size on my Apple Watch Series 7. You can quickly install it on your watch for free, the update is available on all Apple Watches eligible for the watchOS 10 update. watchOS 10.3.1 comes alongside iOS 17.3.1 and other updates.

Regarding changes, Apple didn’t specify any particular bug fixes in the release notes. However, the release notes confirm improvements and bug fixes. You can also access the features released with watchOS 10.3, including the new Unity Bloom watch face.

If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version ofย iOS 17.3.1, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 10.3.1 on your Watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select the Download and Install option on the new update.
  4. Thatโ€™s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software.

Now the watchOS 10.3.1 will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
