Android 15 finally lands on the Nokia G42 5G as the second major update. Although it is late, HMD has finally released the stable Android 15 for the two-year-old Nokia G42 5G.
Nokia G42 is a budget phone which was launched in with the Android 13 OS. It received the Android 14 update early last year. Android 15 is the second and likely final OS upgrade for the device.
As reported by the Source in the official Discord channel, the Android 15 update for the Nokia G42 5G is currently being rolled out in India. While it’s possible that the update may also be available in other regions, we are waiting for confirmation.
The Nokia G42 5G is now receiving the Android 15 update with firmware version AQ3A.241114.001/00WW_3_250. Since it’s a major update, it will be in GBs, so it’s best to download it over Wi-Fi.
As of now, we don’t have the official changelog, but you can expect a similar changelog as other devices. This means it brings improved performance, adaptive battery improvements, advanced notification control, and more.
