HMD kicks off the Android 15 rollout campaign with the Pulse Pro

In recent days, we’ve seen many HMD devices spotted on Geekbench running on Android 15. The company has officially begun rolling out the Android 15 update to the public, with the HMD Pulse Pro becoming the first phone to receive the anticipated update.

HMD Pulse Pro is receiving its first major software upgrade with the V2.370 firmware version. The update weighs a whopping 3.12GB in download size. It will bump up the security patch to December 2024.

In terms of changes, the update brings a serious performance boost, adaptive battery improvements, advanced notification control, privacy and security upgrades, and more.

Performance Boost:

  • Enjoy a faster and smoother experience with optimized system performance, including quicker app launch times, reduced lag, and improved battery life management.

Privacy and Security Upgrades:

  • With stronger app permissions, automatic permission resets, and enhanced data encryption, Android 15 offers state-of-the-art privacy protection, keeping your data safe.

Advanced Notification Control:

  • A more refined notification system gives users more control over which apps and events can send alerts, improving focus and reducing distractions.

Google Security Patch 2024-12. Advisory Notice – It is recommended that users use Wi-Fi wherever possible to download updates. If you wish to use Cellular Mobile connection, please note that downloading data over a Cellular Mobile Network (including when in a Roaming environment), may incur additional charges – check with your Network Provider should you have any concerns. HMD Pulse Pro users can upgrade their device to Android 15 by navigating to Settings > System > System update > Check for update.

Additionally, HMD Global shared a list of devices that are eligible for Android 15 update (via NokiaMob).
