[Update: Thailand joins] Oppo releases Android 12 based ColorOS 12 beta for Find X3 Pro

Google finally released Android 12 yesterday, but as of now, it is not available for Pixel phones. And right after the release, other OEMs have also started rolling out Android 12 based beta updates for their premium phones. Oppo also released the Android 12 based ColorOS 12 beta for Find X3 Pro. Right now it is currently available for users in Malaysia and Indonesia and other regions will join soon. Here you will know how to sign up for ColorOS 12 beta on Find X3 Pro.

Android 12 marks one of the biggest interface changes in the past few years of Android history. But as we know most OEMs have their own custom OS, we can not expect similar UI changes. Unfortunately, Oppo also has its own custom OS which is Color OS. So you may miss the new widgets or Material You on your Oppo phone. But it will be interesting to see if Oppo brings most of the Android 12 features.

Find X3 Pro is the latest flagship phone from Oppo which will be the first Oppo phone to receive the Android 12 stable update. And as Oppo already starts testing the ColorOS 12 on Find X3 Pro, the stable release is near. Oppo hasn’t mentioned much information regarding the update, so as of now we don’t have the full changelog.

ColorOS 12 Beta for Oppo Find X3 Pro

If you are a Find X3 Pro user in Indonesia and Malaysia, then you are eligible for the ColorOS 12 beta. So if you are interested in trying out the Android 12 beta early, then you can easily opt for the testing. Luckily it doesn’t require you to download any file separately.

To opt for Android 12 beta on Find X3 Pro go to Settings > Software Update. There you will find a gear/settings icon, click on it to continue. Now select Trial Version > Beta Version and fill in the required information. Once done, click on Apply Now.

After submitting the information, the Oppo team will review the application and roll out the update accordingly. Remember beta testing on Oppo Find X3 Pro phones is open for limited users. So if you didn’t get the update in the first phase of testing, you can try it in the next phase or group of testing.

Before updating your smartphone to ColorOS 12 Beta, make sure to take a complete backup of important data and charge your smartphone to at least 50% before diving into the installation.
