Apple has released the third beta of iOS 26 to developers earlier this week. This means that the iOS 26 public beta is almost here. iOS 26 comes with a major design overhaul after several years, although it didn’t have a great start. After the first negative impressions of the new liquid glass design, Apple immediately started addressing the design issues. In the third beta, Apple even removed some liquid glass elements from certain apps. The build now appears ready for public testing.
iOS 26 Public Beta Release Date
Looking at the release schedule of previous iOS versions, Apple typically launches the public beta after the third developer beta. This means the iOS 26 public beta is expected to be released next week, during the week of July 14.
Apple will also re-release the third developer beta of iOS 26 to match the build number with the public beta build.
The official iOS 26 build will be released during the next iPhone launch event, as per its usual schedule. However, if you’re eager to experience iOS 26 before the official release, you can opt for the public beta, which generally has fewer bugs compared to the developer beta.
The first iOS 26 public beta will include everything from the developer beta 3 re-release. So, you can expect major changes like the new liquid glass design, more customization tools, new wallpapers, and more.
In case you don’t know, iOS 26 will be available for the iPhone 11 and newer models.
To join the iOS 26 Public Beta, wait for it to become available, then go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Once you select the iOS 26 public beta, the latest build will be available for download right away.
