The wait is finally over, the watchOS 11 public beta is now available for download. The more stable build of the upcoming watchOS 11 is here and you can install it on your Apple Watch for free to try out the new features.

Apple plants the new firmware on eligible watches with the 22R5309f build number, the same build as the third beta. If you are upgrading your watch from watchOS 10, then the update requires a big chunk of data for download. The update weighs a whopping 1.7GB on my Apple Watch Series 7.

For compatibility, the watchOS 11 is available for free for Apple Watch Series 6 and newer models. However, it is important to note that the watchOS 11 public beta is still in the testing phase, which means there may be some bugs or issues that you could encounter during your usage. And there’s no way to go back to the stable watchOS 10 build.

watchOS 11 What’s New

watchOS 11 boasts several new features including the all-new Vitals app, which allows users to quickly view key overnight health metrics, providing better context to stay updated on their health. Additionally, the update gains pregnancy support, helping users track changes in their physical and mental health during this important time.

Training Load is another key feature of watchOS 11, which provides an insightful way to measure and control workout intensity. It also helps users understand the strain on their bodies. The fitness app now allows you to take a rest day without missing any important streaks in your activity ring.

watchOS 11 also brings a new updated Photos Watch Face, more customizable Activity Rings, updated Smart Stack, a Translate app, and more.
