watchOS 11.6 beta 4 (release candidate) now available for testers

Summarize This Article:

Apple has been testing watchOS 11.6 on compatible watch models since last month. Today, the company has released the fourth beta (written as release candidate build in release notes) for testing purposes, meaning we can expect the public release later this week or early next week.

Apple pushes the watchOS 11.6 release candidate with 22U84 build number. If your watch is already on the watchOS 11.6 beta, then the incremental upgrade requires a small chunk of data for installation. It is a free upgrade so you can quickly update your watch.

Moving to the list of changes, Apple didn’t mention any changes in the release notes. However, the upcoming software upgrade is expected to enhance the user experience on Apple Watch further. Needless to mention, you can also upgrade your watch to watchOS 26 to try the new Liquid Glass design and new health features.

watchOS 11.6 RC Update

  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 11 Developer Beta or Public Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the release candidate of watchOS 11.6.
  5. That’s it.

Now the watchOS 11.6 RC will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. After the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
