Sony Xperia Pro is one of the first premium-flagship smartphones of 2021. The smartphone went official in January with Android 10, it is the same time, when Sony is working on pushing Android 11 update to its previously announced smartphones.

Sony rolls out the new update on Xperia Pro with 58.1.A.5.222 software version number. The latest update weighs around 957MB of size for downloading. For the time being, the newer build is seeding in the US region. We can expect it will be available in other regions in the coming days.
There are a number of users reportedly receiving the update on the USA version of Xperia Pro 5G. Yes, a reddit user (@DantesVictus) received the Android 11 update in the USA, @bgdaddyo also confirms the roll out.
Talking about the changes, then users doesn’t notice any major changes except from the Android 11 version in Settings. But we can expect that, it carries Chat Bubbles, redesigned power menu, change in Notification panel & volume controls, improved performance, and a few more features. Yes, it packs every essential feature of Android 11 along with some enhancements.
Android 11 Update for Sony Xperia Pro
Sony Xperia Pro users can now download Android 11 update on their smartphones. As for now, it is in a rolling phase, it will be available to everyone in the coming days. In case you’ve not received the OTA notification on your Sony Xperia Pro 5G, then I recommend you to check the updates manually in the system settings.
To manually check for updates simply go to Settings on your Xperia Pro 5G. And then go to System > Software Update. It will show the available update that you can download and install on your phone.
Hopefully soon the firmware will also be available on the company’s server. It means even if you don’t receive the OTA update on your phones, then you can manually update your device. First, download the Android 11 firmware from the Xperifirm tool for your Xperia device. Then you can manually flash on your phone.
