Sony Xperia 10 III gets stable Android 13 update

The wait is finally over! It’s time for the Xperia 10 III users to try out the new features available in the Android 13. Yes, Sony starts rolling out the Android 13 update to the Xperia 10 III.

The Japanese smartphone manufacturer already released a new software upgrade for the fourth generation of Xperia Mark phones, Xperia Pro-I, and the third-generation Xperia 1 and 5. Today, the company has released a new update for the Xperia 10 Mark 3.

For the time being, the over-the-air build is seeding in the European regions, already available to some users in Croatia and other European countries. The wider rollout should follow soon. As it is a major update, it requires a big chunk of data for downloading. This particular build weighs 880MB in size, rolling with 62.2.A.0.367 software version number.

Sony launches the Xperia 10 Mark 4 with Android 11 OS. Now the phone starts receiving its second big software upgrade – Android 13 with a slew of new features and improvements.

Sony is pushing the new software to eligible Xperia phones with many features including the Live Stream from Camera View, expanded Material You dynamic theming, more options in Quick Settings, support for per-app language, Bluetooth LE Audio, and more. If you are a proud Xperia 10 III (model number XQ-BT52) owner, then you can upgrade your phone to Android 13 by navigating to System updates in the Settings app, then check for the new updates, if the update is available simply download and install it on your device. If not, wait for a few days, currently, it is rolling in a staged manner and will be available to everyone in a matter of time.

In case you are in a hurry and want to try out the new software, then you can manually flash your phone to the new software by downloading the firmware from tools like XperiFirm. Before updating your phone, make sure to take a backup and charge your phone to at least 50%.
