Samsung’s One UI 8 rollout is in its final stages. With most compatible devices already updated, the company has now brought the Android 16-based software to three affordable models: the Galaxy A16 4G, Galaxy A15 4G, and Galaxy A24. Needless to say, the update is rolling out with a bunch of new features, enhancements, and fixes.
As per the details shared by Samsung enthusiast, Mohammed Khatri, the update is in its initial rollout phase and is currently being seeded in mainland South Korea. It will also be available in other regions in the coming days. Samsung is pushing the new software upgrade to the Galaxy A16 4G, Galaxy A15 4G, and Galaxy A24 with the following build numbers:
- Galaxy A16 4G – A165NKSU3CYK1
- Galaxy A15 4G – A155NKSU6CYK1
- Galaxy A24 – A245NKSU7EYK1
As it is a major software upgrade, it requires a huge chunk of data for download. The One UI 8 update on the Galaxy A15 4G weighs approx. 2-3GB of download size. Please ensure your phone has at least 4-5GB of free space for installation.
One UI 8-based Android 16 update comes with a slew of new features and changes. The list of features includes the new Adaptive lock screen clock, improved split-screen view, better display support in Samsung DeX, easier file sharing with Quick Share, Dynamic Lock screen, hide apps in secure folder, updated stock apps, improved animations, and more.
Whether you own the Galaxy A15 4G, Galaxy A16 4G, or Galaxy A24, you may have already received the One UI 8 update on your device. In case you missed the OTA notification, you can check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update or you can wait for a few days for a broader rollout. Once the update is available on your phone, you can download and install it.
Please charge your phone to at least 50% before updating to the One UI 8-based Android 16 update. Also, don’t forget to back up your data just in case.
