Samsung kicks-off One UI 4.0 based Android 12 beta for Galaxy S21

Samsung has just announced that Galaxy S21 series phones will get One UI 4.0 based Android 12 beta on September 14th in the US. Not only in the US, but the Android 12 beta will also be available in other regions, such as India, Germany, Poland, UK, South Korea, and China. The release date can vary in different regions. As per the details shared by Samsung, the One UI 4.0 is set to come with a wealth of theme options, users can fully customize the home screens, icons, notifications, wallpapers, and much more. The newest skin is also coming with the redesigned widgets, enhanced privacy controls, a new library of AR emojis, along with other improvements.

The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra users can get access to the features of One UI 4.0. Apart from the Unlocked models, T-Mobile and Sprint carrier users can also opt for the One UI 4.0 based Android 12 beta program via Samsung’s Members app.

Here’s how you can take part in the Galaxy S21 Android 12 beta.

If you’re using any Galaxy S21 series phone, then you need to download the Samsung Members app on your smartphone, then click on the One UI 4.0 beta banner listed at the top of the app. Samsung says banner aka notice should appear on Members app in the morning of September 14th in the US. The notice will also be listed in other regions (India, Germany, Poland, UK, South Korea, and China) very soon.

In case you’ve seen the banner, then tap on it and fill out the required details, that’s it. Samsung will push One UI 4.0 based Android 12 to your smartphone via a special OTA update.

The stable version of Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series will come by the end of this year. We can expect the company will soon starting beta testing on other Galaxy phones as well.
