At the end of last month, Samsung released the One UI 6 Beta for its Galaxy S23 series, marking the first series to receive the One UI 6 beta. Later, the company released the Android 14-based One UI 6 beta for the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34.
The Galaxy S22 series from last year is the latest Galaxy to receive the One UI 6 Beta. Yes it is based on Android 14 and the official version should be available later this year.
One UI 6 Beta is the upcoming major update for Samsung phones, and it has only been in beta testing for about two weeks. This means there’s still some time before the stable One UI 6 release. However, users who are eager to experience One UI 6 early can participate in the beta program. Now, Samsung Galaxy S22 users also have the opportunity to join the beta program.
The One UI 6 beta for Samsung Galaxy S22 is currently available in South Korea. Samsung officially announced the beta program on its community forum. This program is open to all three models in the series, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
As per the Sammobile report, the beta update is already rolling out and it comes with firmware version S90xNKSU3ZWIA. It is a 3GB update and you should expect a bunch of new features. And along with new features and improvements, the update also includes latest September 2023 Android security patch.
Talking about new features, the first change you are going to notice is the new Quick Settings layout, set different background for different modes, set of new Emojis, New Media Playback in notification panel, ability to change clock position in lock screen and more. If you own a Samsung Galaxy S22, you’ll need to register for the One UI 6 beta program to experience new major update. Currently, beta registration is available in South Korea, with the possibility of it becoming available in other regions in the near future.
