Samsung Galaxy S21 FE now receiving Android 13 Update (One UI 5)

Samsung Galaxy Fan Edition devices are quite popular in every region. Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S20 FE are both popular devices. A few hours ago we reported about the Galaxy S20 FE Android 13 update. And now the stable Android 13 update is rolling out for the Galaxy S21 FE. The latest Android version is available via One UI 5 update. Here’s all you need to know about the Galaxy S21 FE One UI 5 update.

Earlier this month, Samsung rolled out the update for several mid-range phones and hence Fan Edition users were feeling betrayed. But today finally Samsung started rolling out the Android 13 based One UI 5 update first to the Galaxy S20 FE and then to the Galaxy S21 FE. Samsung has kept the promise that the Galaxy S21 FE will get the update in November as per the One UI 5 roadmap.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Android 13 update is currently rolling out in Europe. This has been confirmed by many users on Twitter and other platforms. The new update for the Galaxy S21 FE comes with build number G990BXXU2DVK3. This is the first major update for the device since it was released earlier this year with Android 12. The One UI 5 update available to users is around 2GB in size.

Unfortunately, the major update doesn’t come with the new Android security patch, but that might be a different case for other regions.

Talking about new features and changes, it comes with a lot of new features that improve the device’s performance drastically. The new update comes with improved animations, UI changes, new lock screen customization, new wallpapers, more color palette, new big widgets, improved security and privacy, per app language, and a lot more.

The update is rolling out to users in batches which means it will take time to reach all users in different regions. If you are a Galaxy S21 FE user, you can get the update anytime. And so you should keep checking for updates regularly. To manually check for the update go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. From here you can install the Android 13 and One UI 5 update once it’s available.

Before upgrading your phone to Android 13 and One UI 5, you should take backup of important data and charge the phone to at least 50%.
