The phone was released back in Q1 2020 with Android 10 out of the box. Later this year the device received its first major update as Android 11. The One UI 3.1 is not a major update but it brings some important fixes and improvements. Galaxy M21 One UI 3.1 update comes with Firmware version M215FXXXZBUC8. And the update also brings the latest Android Security Patch of March 2021 which fixes some critical security vulnerabilities. The update weighs around 960MB and it is recommended to use WiFi for downloading the update.

Samsung Galaxy M21 One UI 3.1 update is reportedly rolling out in India. But soon other regions will also join the party. The update is available over the air and if you are using the Indian M21 model, then you might have already received the update notification. Sometimes we don’t get the notification for the update and in that case, we can manually check the update by going to Settings > Software Update. And if the update is available click on Download and Install to get the update. Make sure your device has enough charge to make sure there is no interruption.

But in case you didn’t get the update on your phone even when it is available for your regions. Well, in that case, you can always choose the manual upgrade option with Firmware. You can download Galaxy M21 Firmware from Samsung Firmware Downloader, Frija tool, SamFirm tool, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using the Odin Tool. I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
