Two more entry-level phones are now receiving the stable Android 12 based One UI 4.1 update this month. I am talking about the popular Galaxy M12 and Galaxy F02s phones. And with this rollout, Samsung has rolled out Android 12 for almost all the eligible phones. There may be a couple of devices left. And if you are a Galaxy M12 or Galaxy F02s user then your wait is finally over. Here’s all about Android 12 based One UI 4.1 for Galaxy M12 and Galaxy F02s.
Samsung released the Galaxy M12 in April last year with Android 11 based One UI 3.1 update. And so the Android 12 update is the first major update for the device.
Talking about Galaxy F02s, it was also released last year but with Android 10 out of the box. Later the device got an Android 11 update. This means that Android 12 is the second major update for the device.
The Android 12 based One UI 4.1 update for Galaxy M12 is currently rolling out in Vietnam with firmware build M127FXXU3BVF8. And other regions are expected to get the update soon. The stable Android 12 based One UI 4.1 for galaxy F02s is rolling out in India since it is an India-exclusive phone. And it comes with firmware build E025FXXU2CVF4.
Now as these are major updates, you can expect a bunch of new features along with security patch updates. The new update includes features such as new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. If you own a Samsung Galaxy M12 or Galaxy F02s, then you will receive the update soon. This is an OTA update rolling out in batches which means some users might need to wait longer for the update. Sometimes the OTA update notification doesn’t work so in that case you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update. And once the update is available tap on Download & Install button.
Update 2 August – Galaxy M12 Android 12 available in India
The Android 12 update is now available for Galaxy M12 in India as well. Earlier it was available in Vietnam. The Android 12 for Galaxy M12 is based on the One UI 4.1 update. In India, the Android 12 update for Galaxy M12 comes with firmware version M127GXXU3BVG1/M127GODM3BVG1/ M127GDDU3BVG1 at a size of 1790.41 MB.
The update does not bring the latest security patch and runs on the old June 2022 security patch. And in terms of new features, you can expect the changes mentioned above.

M12 still hasn’t received Android 12 in Europe. I can’t believe how long this is taking.I’m very disappointed with how Samsung is treating this phone,all other models even cheaper ones like A03 or M11 have received the update.
