Samsung has been diligently working on releasing the Android 16-based One UI 8 stable update for eligible devices. The company has already released the major software upgrade for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 / Flip 6. Now, Samsung is extending the availability to the A-series, starting with the Galaxy A56 as the first model to receive it.

Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update to Galaxy A56 with A566SKSU2BYI5 build number. For the time being, the upgrade is in its initial rollout phase and available in mainland South Korea; a broader rollout should commence later this week. As it is a major upgrade, it needs a big chunk of data for installation.

The update is already available to many users in mainland South Korea. Here are screenshots from both foldables shared by Tarun Vats.

If you own a Galaxy Z Flip 6 or Fold 6, you can now upgrade your smartphone to One UI 8 stable update. To check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update. Once the update is available on your phone, you can download and install it.

Please charge your phone to at least 50% before updating to the One UI 8-based Android 16 update. Also, don’t forget to back up your data just in case.
