Realme 8 5G and Narzo 30 5G get Android 12 update

Realme 8 5G and Narzo 30 5G are the two mid-range phones to get the taste of Android 12. The stable build comes two months after the release of the open beta program. After finishing the testing, the company has released the official version of Android 12 based Realme UI 3.0. Both phones were launched last year with Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 skin.

As of now, the Relame UI 3.0 upgrade is available in Europe and India for the Realme 8 5G, carried along with RMX3241_11.C.03 / C.02 version number. Whereas the upgrade for Narzo 30 5G is limited to India at the moment but will be released in other regions very soon. The software on Narzo 30 5G is labeled with RMX3242_11.C.03 firmware version.

Realme confirms the rollout of stable Android 12 on its community forum and recommends upgrading your phone to the A.16 version number. Yes, your phone needs to be running on the latest software version to get access to Android 12.

Like all Realme phones, the update to Android 12 brings in new customization features, and improvements to performance, system, camera, and gaming. The upgrade will also squash bugs available on the previous software.

    • Adds a chart to display your battery usage.

    • In team fight scenes, games run more smoothly at a stable frame rate.
    • Reduces the CPU load average and lowers the battery usage.

    • You can now decide which camera modes are displayed on the menu bar and in what order they are displayed.

    • Optimizes the auto brightness algorithm to adapt screen brightness to more scenes for a comfortable screen reading experience.
  • Accessibility
    • Optimizes accessibility:
    • Adds visuals to text instructions for an intuitive understanding of accessibility functions.
    • Optimizes categorization of functions by grouping them into vision, hearing, interactive actions and general.
    • TalkBack supports more system apps including Photos, Phone, Mail, and Calendar.
