OnePlus 8 & 8 Pro receive OxygenOS C.15 update with slow charging fix

Last month, OnePlus kicked off the Android 12-centric OxygenOS 12 update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. And now its a time for the first incremental upgrade. Yes, the first incremental update is out and it is seeding with a bunch of fixes and optimizations. OnePlus rolls out the new build with C.15 version number. OnePlus plants the new software upgrade on OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro with IN2021_11.C.15_1150_202204021859 build number. It is a small incremental upgrade, the OTA weighs only 277MB in size for downloading, you can quickly install it over WiFi or cellular data. The update is rolling in a staged manner and will be available to everyone within a few days, some users have already received the new firmware. The update will bump up the monthly security patch to March 2022 from February 2022.

Since the last upgrade, the OnePlus 8 series owners face slow charging issues. Now the changelog of the new update hints at a fix for the slow charging issue, more stability while making phone calls, addresses not being able to use the face unlock feature, abnormal display issues in some scenarios, abnormal notifications when the camera is running, and a few more issues.   • Please do not turn off your device while the update is installing. During Installation you cannot use your device at all, even to dial 9-1-1

If you are a OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro user, then you can check for the update from Settings > System > System Update. OnePlus also allows sideloading OTA updates if your device is running on the latest required version. So if you want to manually update your phone, you can download the OTA package from Oxygen Update or from the official OnePlus download page.

Before upgrading to the latest version, make sure to take a backup of your data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
