OnePlus announces OxygenOS 12 Closed Beta program for the OnePlus 8 series and OnePlus 8T. The OEM is already testing the OxygenOS 12 on the OnePlus 9 Series. And about a week ago, OnePlus also released the closed beta program for the OnePlus 9R. As usual, OnePlus announces the CBT program on their official forum. OxygenOS 12 is the next OS update based on Android 12 for OnePlus phones. We have already shared a list of OnePlus devices that are eligible for OxygenOS 12 update. OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, 9R, OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T are some of the top OnePlus phones that will get the update early. After announcing the closed beta program for the OnePlus 9R last week, now OnePlus also announced CBT for OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8T Series.
This is a closed beta test program for OxygenOS 12, so interested users will have to apply for the program. And also there will be bugs as it will be the very first OOS 12 build for OnePlus 8 Series and OnePlus 8T. So only users who want to participate without minding bugs or have the OnePlus 8, 8Pro, 8T as secondary devices can easily apply for the beta.
Also, OnePlus warns about sharing the OOS 12 CBT package with other users as it can cause damage to their devices. So you will also need to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. - You are using a OnePlus 8 series or OnePlus 8T device
- You are an active OnePlus Community member
- You are willing to regularly communicate and provide feedback to the OnePlus team on Telegram
- The CBT version is not the official version, which is still in development and testing. After updating to CBT version, please be patient and tolerate its instability and accept all risks which might be caused by it
