Samsung has now included the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro to the One UI 8 Watch Beta program. Galaxy Watch 5 series owners who have been eagerly waiting for the big release can now experience the new update early through the beta program.
As per the screenshot shared by a user on the Samsung Korea community, Samsung is notifying users about the One UI 8 Watch Beta for the Galaxy Watch 5 series. The beta is also expected to be announced in the US, if not already.
The stable One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 5 is still several weeks away, but at least the beta program now confirms that it will arrive sooner rather than later. It could be released by the end of this year or possibly early next year. The update for the Galaxy Watch 4 will be even further delayed.

If you own a Galaxy Watch 5 or Watch 5 Pro and reside in South Korea or the US, you can join the One UI 8 Watch experience before others. However, this is a beta program that may contain minor or even major bugs. Therefore, install the beta on your watch only if you are aware of the risks and are comfortable with it.
Galaxy Watch 7 has already completed the beta phase and received the stable update. On the other hand, the update for Galaxy Watch 6 is currently undergoing testing, and the stable update is expected to be released soon. While Samsung could potentially skip the beta phase for Galaxy Watch 4, we don’t have any confirmed information on that yet.
The official One UI 8 Watch is only available for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 8 series.
One UI 8 is a major update, introduces features such as a multi-info tile, streamlined notifications, Now Bar, enhanced UI, and more. Notably, Samsung has skipped the One UI 7 Watch for the One UI 8 Watch, marking a big improvement over the previous One UI 6 Watch.
