Just after the Galaxy A34, the One UI 8 internal beta firmware was also spotted for two more devices, the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33. While the stable One UI 8 build has yet to be released to the public, it’s reassuring to know that Samsung is already testing the update on various models. This gives us confidence that they won’t repeat the delays we saw with One UI 7.
The One UI 8 beta firmware for the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 was spotted on Samsung’s servers with build GYG1. This confirms that One UI 8 development has officially begun for both mentioned models. Thanks to @Koram_Akhilesh for the finding.

Samsung doesn’t release a public beta for every eligible model; only select devices are included in the beta program. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 are not expected to get the One UI 8 beta. Instead, users can expect a direct stable release within the next few months.
The stable One UI 8 update will first roll out to flagship models, starting with the Galaxy S25, and will later expand to mid-range and budget phones in the next few months. Since Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 are three years old, these devices are expected to receive the update later than newer budget and entry-level models.
The Android 16-based One UI 8 update will be the last major update for the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53. Both devices are eligible for four OS upgrades, which is quite impressive for budget phones. Since both devices have already received three major updates, the upcoming One UI 8 will be their last.
One UI 8 is the most polished One UI so far, at least as per the early feedback from public beta users. While One UI 7 focused heavily on new features, the upcoming major release aims to improve the overall experience with smoother animation, better optimization, and new features like the Adaptive lock screen clock.
